Failure is always an option

Last year I decided that I wanted to develop my wine palate. So I did what any broke college student does and shopped a Safeway wine sale. I spent around $25 on six bottles of wine, with an assortment of brands and wine varieties.

I started with mainly sweeter white wines because I know that I don’t like dry wines. They make my mouth feel I’ve been sucking on iodine infused cotton balls.

There has been one win, a couple eh wines, and one major fail so far. The Sutter Home Pink Moscato is a major fail in my books. It tastes like a basic, cheap white wine blend that was then mixed with an artificial grape candy flavor.

I cannot think of a single food item that would be improved by or pair well with this wine. Anything that it consumed with it enters a surreal realm of flavor.
