Before all else, please drink responsibly and stay safe.
Wine is made from fermenting grapes. It takes special conditions to grow the “right type of grapes” for each variety of wine.
Red: I’m not a fan, usually way to astringent for me. It has also been touted as “healthy” to drink one glass a day, due to the antioxidant-like polyphenol resveratrol.
White: Pale yellow in color, can range from extra dry to semi-dry to sweet.

Rose: Pink in color, can range from dry to sweet. Currently a major trend in other alcohols, such as Angry Orchards Rose hard cider.
Moscato: Made with Muscat grapes, a grape that tastes like grape candy. Can be a hit-or-miss, sometimes very tasty, other times tastes like poor quality wine with grape candy flavor added to try to mask the poor flavor profile.

Spumante – an Italian sparkling wine. Very low in alcohol content, equal t or less than beer and hard cider. The ones that I’ve had have been very sweet.

Honorable mention
Sake – Also known as Japanese rice wine. Made by fermenting rice. Reminds me more of vodka than wine, but that may be due to quality of most of the sake I’ve had until reecently.
